My story with light dates back to 1942. I inherited it. Something that must have been passed down through generations, thanks to my grandfather who brought the first camera made in Malta to Menzel Temim. That’s when the first family photo studio was born in this town. It was called ‘Studio Al Izdihar.’ And that’s where it all began; in that studio where, a little later, I learned everything about the craft and the image. For over ten years, I perfected my skills, completed internships, and explored all the roles in the image and production industry. But one realization kept growing in me throughout this period of learning and practicing: The more I saw how difficult it was to access the latest equipment and the most valuable advice, the more my desire to address this need myself became an obvious choice.
